Weekly Menu 03.08.26: A Well-Rounded Week (Thanks, Pi)

Weekly Menu 03.08.26: The One Where Dinner Meets Pi (and Probably Pie too!) Every year around this time, the math world gets a little excited about Pi Day, celebrated on March 14 (3.14… get it?). Pi is the mathematical constant used to calculate the circumference of a circle, and it goes on forever without repeating. Honestly, that sounds a lot like the mental math moms do every single day, trying to figure out what to make for dinner.

Of course, the rest of us celebrate Pi Day the way nature intended: with pie. Apple pie, pizza pie, chicken pot pie… really anything circular counts if you ask me. Frankly, if math teachers can celebrate with dessert, I feel strongly that dinner should get the same treatment.

And while this week’s menu doesn’t require a calculator (thank goodness), it does follow my favorite formula: simple recipes, easy ingredients, and dinners that don’t require a PhD in meal planning. Because if there’s one equation every busy family can agree on, it’s less stress + faster dinners = happier people at the table.

So in honor of Pi, let’s keep things well-rounded this week: a handful of easy meals, a little dinner inspiration, and maybe, just maybe, a slice of pie at the end. Because if math says circles are important, who am I to argue?

WEEKLY MENU 03.08.26

What’s for eats on the Weekly Menu 03.08.26? We are having pie, but not until Saturday, which is 03.14.26. We’re starting out with D’s favorite meal, Chicken Fra Diavolo. Spicy, crazy easy, and a crowd favorite, it’s perfect for Sunday dinner. We’re starting off with Sausage-Stuffed Peppers, a fun little appetizer that leaves us with a ton of leftovers. Turns out that everyone loves the flavor of the hot peppers, but not the peppers themselves. They’ve been picking out the insides for as long as I’ve been making them.

We’re having MEATY Monday for a change. At this time of the year, the best way to make tasty burgers is to bake them in the oven. I form the patties, then bake at 450 degrees F until they’re just barely pink inside. Less mess, less babysitting.

Chicken Caesar Salad Sammies on Wednesday before we slide into the weekend with imitation Bangers and Mash (we use the sausage we like – which is Italian) and top with onion gravy. Easy and ready in under 30 minutes.
