Weekly Menu 05.18.25: Buzzing Into Dinner with Easy, Family Favorites~

This Weekly Menu 05.18.25 is sweeter than ever—because we’re giving a nod to the hardest workers in nature: bees! With World Bee Day landing on Tuesday, we’re dishing out meals the whole family will love, including a Honey Garlic Pork Loin on Sunday and Crispy Hot Honey Chicken Sandwiches on Tuesday that are absolutely buzz-worthy.
Bees may be small, but they’re mighty. One honeybee can visit over 2,000 flowers in a single day! Plus, it takes about 12 bees their entire lives to make just one teaspoon of honey. That makes every drop of honey in your dinner a little miracle.
“If the bee disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would only have four years left to live.”
Often attributed to Albert Einstein
While the quote’s origins are debated, there’s no denying that bees are essential to life—and dinner! They pollinate over 75% of the world’s flowering plants, including many fruits and veggies we rely on. And speaking of eats, what’s on the Weekly Menu 05.18.25?
Weekly Menu 05.18.25
On the Weekly Menu 05.18.25, we’re kicking things off with a sticky-sweet Honey Garlic Pork Loin on Sunday, an easy, oven-friendly dinner that tastes like we spent hours on it. Of course, we’re serving it with some real mashed potatoes, and we’ll roast some carrots while the pork cooks. Monday’s bringing the comfort with a no-fail Spaghetti and Meatballs night, perfect for busy evenings. I’ll make some easy pasta sauce, and I’ll also make some 5-ingredient meatballs (ground beef, eggs, seasoned bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese). Store-bought for both the marinara and the meatballs would work just as easily.
And on Tuesday – aka World Bee Day – we’re turning up the heat and the honey with Crispy Hot Honey Chicken Sandwiches that are crunchy, sweet, and spicy all in one bite. We’re having no-fry rice with some easy Mongolian Beef on Wednesday. The Instant Fried (no-fry) Rice calls for Minute Rice, and looks like fried rice without the frying. Prepping the cooking water is the key to that.
Saturday wraps up the week with Bert sizzling Philly Cheesesteaks on the Blackstone. It’s been too long for this family fave. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the weather holds out.
