WEEKLY MENU 11.16.25

We’re gearing up for the big day with Friendsgiving during the Weekly Menu 11.16.25~

Friendsgiving, the run-up to Thanksgiving featured in the Weekly Menu 11.16.25, has been around since approximately 2000, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. A much more casual, usually potluck celebration of all things to give thanks for with a group of friends. This menu includes appetizers, mains, sides and desserts that would go with Thanksgiving, but that don’t usually make the cut for the more elaborate celebrations.
We’ve got Turkey Meatballs on our menu as well as a finisher of Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Dip – both things we won’t have on the actual holiday. We’re a pie family – Pecan, Pumpkin, and Apple almost always grace the dessert table. Since we’re having them on Thanksgiving (next week!) we won’t have them now.
Here’s a batch of similar recipes that may or may not be on the menu later this month to inspire you for Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving. Don’t forget party hats!
It’s time to start planning for the big day, whether you’re hosting or bringing something to share. The grandpappy of all How-Tos:

Weekly Menu 11.16.25
Friendsgiving is on Sunday during the Weekly Menu for 11.16.25, but we also have plenty of easy eats for the rest of the week, likely without the leftovers that will plague us later in the month! We’re going meatless on Monday with frozen/baked black bean burgers and Roasted Red Pepper Pasta. I keep trying to make really good black bean burgers, but the ones in the freezer section are usually better than mine. They are WAY easier too.
We’ve got Mexican Picadillo coming up – that’s a one-pan meat and potato concoction that we all love. I’ve been using 90/10 beef (especially since failing the stress test), but there is still enough fat in the mixture to make the potatoes crispy and delicious. It’s great on its own, but I usually serve it with some tortilla shells or chips.
Friday is an easy soup that comes together in the crockpot, so it’ll be waiting for us when we get home – the festive season kicks off with an annual party that we all enjoy, and some nice chicken soup waiting for us will be welcome regardless of what the weather has in store.
