Weekly Menu 12.02.18

Our Weekly Menu 12.02.18 knows it’s time to start planning for the holidays!

Plan now:  check out our 50 Plus Epic Gift Ideas

You don’t have to even go to the mall. Order online and add items from the grocery store and/or liquor store. Start stocking up today to stay in budget.

Baby Boy gets the ball rolling on winter sports this week (does it ever end?) So we’re having a throwback favorite of Bert’s: Old Fashioned Mini-Meatloaves. They’ll keep well in the oven while BB is out blocking lacrosse balls. Plus, they’re just full of old-fashioned meatloaf goodness. Onion soup mix and  lots of filler bread crumbs stretch out the beef! Comfort food that’s super tasty.

My Mother-In-Law’s recipe box was recently unearthed (thanks Kristen!) and boy does it have some fun items. Nut Horns were the plan last week but we got sidetracked. They’re little, marble sized pieces of yeast dough rolled out and filled with sugar and chopped walnuts. Labor intensive, for sure, but Bert promised he’d help. He’s working for the opportunity to eat them later!

They’re a Pittsburgh thing from what I’ve seen

and another of Bert’s favorites. We’re giving them a shot (for real this time!) on Sunday. Pics will follow, unless, you know, they fail miserably.

Taco Tuesday is Chimichangas this week, but I think it still counts. Baked chimichangas are basically crisped up burritos. Yes, please.

The Weekly Menu 12.02.18  wouldn’t be complete without a super simple sheet pan dinner. That’s coming up Thursday and you’re going to want to pull up a chair for that one.
