Klondike Sundaes – Hot Fudge!

Klondike Sundaes – Hot Fudge!

Whip up Easy & Cheap Klondike Hot Fudge Sundaes – now!

Klondike Sundaes feed a little addiction I have. I LOVE ICE CREAM. And I’m not sure why, but the older I get, the more I like it.

I’m something of a connoisseur, but I am not picky.

DOLD started it all. He could find any ice cream stand at any time, anywhere. Dairy Queen? Baskin Robbins? Friendly’s? Emack and Bolios? Yes, please. Straight from the freezer? YES PLEASE.

It escalated quickly when I was pregnant.

Dad thought I needed the special nutrients that only ice cream could provide. I agreed wholeheartedly, to the point that if we couldn’t decide on scoop or soft serve, we’d have both. The same day. Every day.

DOLD gained 25 pounds during my first pregnancy.

We’re not going to talk about how I did. Let’s just say I was the victor in this race.

I love how easy no churn ice cream is, like Cinnamon Heath Crunch and Toasted Coconut. I adore a cream puff filled with ice cream, like in Cream Puffs with Cinnamon Ice Cream and Salted Caramel Sauce. But I am thrilled with store bought freezer confections too. Remember Drum Sticks? They’re still delish. Ice cream bars make a nice cake. But Klondikes? All I can say is yippee!

Klondike Sundaes came about because the grocery store was having a buy one get one free sale on Klondike Bars. Nobody can resist that. These are perfect crowd food – put out the fixings for Sundaes, and put the unwrapped Klondike Bars in a bowl so everyone can make their own. THAT’S a party.

This hot fudge sauce warmed up in the microwave, which was awesome. It also comes in a little squirt bottle (as did the caramel sauce) so you can easily decorate with it. You can absolutely make your own sauces and bump it up a bit. Caramel Sauce is easy and fast, and homemade Hot Fudge Sauce can’t be beat.

If your sauce isn’t in a bottle, put it in the corner of a small ziploc bag and cut off the tip – it makes decorating super easy. A blob/swirl also works well.

Cut the Klondike Bar face down – to minimize the cracking.

Plate it however you like – I like the slight mountain. It is a KLONDIKE Sundae, after all.

Stacked.

Add more sauce.

Already looking good.

Add on whatever toppings you like! We didn’t have any whipped cream, but that would be tasty too. You can make Klondike Sundaes holiday friendly – add Patriotic Sprinkles (affiliate link) for the summer holidays or green and red (affiliate link) for Christmas!

It probably doesn’t need a recipe, but…
